My Bone Marrow Transplant

Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.

A thunderstorm this morning helped to cool the air down. My nose is slightly congested and I have an intermittent cough.

I was reading a post today from a man whose 4 sons all have XLP, a rare and always fatal disease without a bone marrow transplant. It only affects young boys and kills them before the age of 10. All have had BMTs and all are, as far as the post mentioned, surviving.

A short walk of 1.2km tonight in sandals so as not to aggravate the grazes on my heels. As we were on the second lap of the apartment complex it started to drizzle, so it was wise to stay close to home.
